    Today Apple have released the updated MacBook Air notebook.
    New features include LED backlit screen, Qwerty keyboard with adjustable backlighting, Intel second generation i5 and i7 processors giving up to 2.5 x the processing performance over previous model, Thunderbolt port, batteries now offer longer run times thanks mainly to the new processors, FaceTime camera and OS X Lion operating system.

    Starting at $1,099 for the 11 inch LED backlit screen model, standard features include 64GB of flash storage, second generation Sandy Bridge dual-core Intel Core i5 processor running at 1.6GHz, Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory, Thunderbolt port, Two USB 2.0 ports, battery with 5 hours of wireless web runtime and Apple's OS X Lion also released today.
    Options for the 11 inch MBA include a larger 128GB Flash storage, 4GB of DDR3 memory.

    The larger 13 inch model starts at $1,449 with 128GB Flash storage, second generation Sandy Bridge dual-core Intel Core i5 processor running at 1.7GHz, Intel HD 3000 on-chip graphics, 4GB DDR3 memory, Thunderbolt port, two USB 2.0 ports, an SD card slot, larger battery supporting up to 7 hours of wireless web runtime and Apple's OS X Lion also released today.
    Options for the 13 inch MBA include a larger 256GB Flash storage, i7 dual core processor running at 1.8GHZ.

    The 13 inch model looks the pick with a standard 4GB of memory and 128GB Flash storage. The extra dollars over the 11 inch buy you 2 extra hours of battery life, a slightly faster processor, SD Card slot and of course a lot more screen real estate all in a 2 cm thin package weighing just 1.35 kg.
